NUR162 Concepts of Nursing I

This course is tailored to the professional registered nursing program and establishes the foundation for entry level nursing practice by introducing nursing principles and concepts consistent with meeting the bio-psycho-social needs of individuals in a multicultural society through a holistic approach. This course is also designed to provide students entering the healthcare profession with supervised learning experiences in a nursing laboratory and /or in cooperating agencies. Basic computer instruction related to the delivery of nursing care and documentation are included. Familiarity with medical terminology, and college reading and writing competence required.
